Going on "tour" with you, reading your books and hearing everyone call you the M&M lady. I had the coolest mom in the world! (I guess I still do!) I'm just so glad you have a way to share all of this with the world because all your stories are so interesting and entertaining. I knew you reached celebrity status when teachers and moms across the nation knew who you were by your M&Ms counting book. That is when you began to get nicer Christmas cards from me. No more of those hundred per box, you remember, they had actual glitter and embossed characters, made from rice paper and actual pages from the Bible. And even though I love you still the same, you may have moved back into "bulk Christmas card" category. Looking forward to your next success, as I am sure you are too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8541975594189542299.post-4433047059055076502010-11-05T20:54:11.010-04:002010-11-05T20:54:11.010-04:00Barbara, as I affectionally named "fish-lady&...Barbara, as I affectionally named "fish-lady"...is the most knowlegable woman I know! I have such a lack of creativity that I could never write a book!

On another note, I'm praying that we don't become such a PC country and one that also has a government that intrudes in to the minutiae of our daily lives so much so that kids can't enjoy (and occasionally learn from) things like small candies and cute, tasty goldfish! Also, it never fails to amaze me how much persistence it takes to get something like this accomplished... 8-12 years from pen to publisher-- whew, that's a lot! Thanks for the history and backstory!GMBnoreply@blogger.com
